The Ministry of Education and Science in 2011 is planning to introduce an electronic system for receiving documents on entry in higher educational establishments, Education Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk said during a selector conference.
"We have received the task to think about the introduction, on a proposal of many rectors, heads of departments of education, of an electronic system for the submission of documents by the entrants in 2011," he said.
In addition, the Ministry is thinking over changing the entry campaign period. According to Tabachnyk, the draft rules for admission to universities in 2011 will be posted on the Ministry's website in a few days after completion of the current entry campaign.
This year, due to reduction of filings, entrants had to stand in long queues to get to reception commissions.
Due to the numerous appeals of the applicants and their parents, the entry campaign was extended by five days, until August 5.
